Recent explanations have come from “positive psychology” and from neuroscience. This bookend, based on Chris Mooney’s new book, The Republican Brain: The Science of Why They Deny Science—and Reality (Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley & Sons, Inc.), will explore these explanations for political orientation as well
as well as the impact of family and culture. There will be an introductory meeting, after which participants will be expected to read the book. The second session will continue the discussion.
